Gloucestershire College Sponsor CFW

Gloucestershire College on board for a second year – and we can’t wait!

The team at Gloucestershire College are delighted to be returning as the Official Education Sponsor of Cheltenham Fashion Week for a second year, and we can’t wait to get our students involved in the build-up, planning and organisation ahead of CFW 2013 this December and the events throughout the year.

Working with the CFW team in 2012 was fantastic! With two sell-out education shows at the College’s Cheltenham Campus, a huge range of opportunities offered to our current students, and a platform to promote the wide range of careers available in fashion to potential students – for us, it was a real success.

Gloucestershire College is part of the Gazelle Colleges Group, which means that we encourage entrepreneurial thinking in everything we do. A key part of this is working with successful local business people and entrepreneurs who are willing to share their experiences and expertise with our students – and CFW offers this in abundance! From working with Sam Bawden, who is an experienced and passionate events organiser, to meeting fashion industry guest speakers and working alongside skilled photographers, stylists, models, hairdressers; CFW offers a huge amount of invaluable work experience to our students.

Gloucestershire College offers a whole range of fashion related courses, ranging from a Level 1 Get Creative course up to Art Foundation or a HNC/HND in Creative Practices all of which have fashion pathways.  The Creative Academies Team are also planning a series of short 1 or 2 days courses covering specialist areas such as Millinery – information coming soon! So, we look forward to seeing you in December for another fantastic education show, more fashion lectures and careers events, and most importantly, to celebrate and showcase the talent and creativity of young people across Gloucestershire.
